Wrong subtype

In some situations a nearly correct diagnosis will be reached by the doctor, but of the wrong subtype. In many cases this will not matter, but in certain instances it could have profound implications for treatment:

Viral infection

Whilst it may be theoretically possible to determine the exact type of viral infection present in a common cold, in practice this would be unnecessary as the progress of the disease will be essentially the same. In other situations

Diabetes

Heart disease

If you feel that you need to sue your doctor, or simply make a complaint against the NHS, please submit your details via the enquiry form.
